1.  Introduction  

Know Your Farmer (“KYF”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the website located at www.knowyourfarmerapp.com, other related websites and mobile applications (collectively, the “Site”). This Privacy Policy explains KYF’s privacy practices that apply to the services (collectively, the “Services”) provided through the Site. 

Please read the Privacy Policy carefully so that you can understand how KYF collects, uses, and discloses information from and/or about you when you use the Site or the Services. 

By using the Site you are consenting to the use and disclosure of your personal information as outlined in this Privacy Policy. 

2.  Personal Information  

You will be asked to create an account. You will need a username and password to access that account. When you create your account KYF will ask for personal information. Personal information will not be collected without your entry onto the Site. Entering personal information onto our site is acquiescing to KYF’s privacy practices.

The Personal Information we collect or maintain may include:

a.  Your name, age, address, phone number, email address, username, password, photographs, and other registration information;

b.  Information about the computer or mobile device you are using, such as what Internet browser you use, the kind of computer or mobile device you use, and other information about how you use the Site; 

c.  Login credentials used from third party sites such as Facebook, Apple, Google, etc., if you choose to log in from the third party site;

d.  Import contacts from your cellular or mobile devices phone books contact list; 

e.  Other information you input into the Site or related Services.

f. A2P 10DLC SMS Messaging Policy – One-Time Passwords (OTP)

Know Your Farmer 2.0 uses SMS messaging to deliver One-Time Passwords (OTPs) for the purpose of verifying your identity during sign-up, login, or other account-related authentication events.

By registering an account and providing your mobile number, you consent to receive OTP messages from Know Your Farmer 2 via A2P (Application-to-Person) 10DLC messaging, as required by U.S. mobile carrier regulations.

Purpose of Messages

Messages sent to your mobile number will be limited to:

•    Sending OTP codes for sign-up or login verification

•    Notifying you of security-related events (e.g., password reset attempts)

These messages are transactional and are not used for marketing or promotional purposes.

Message Frequency

Message frequency is limited to your sign-in or sign-up activity and related security events.

Opt-Out

Because OTP messages are required to access your account, opting out will limit your ability to log in using SMS-based verification. If you wish to stop receiving OTPs, you may:

•    Disable SMS authentication (if alternative login methods are available)

•    Contact our support team to request account changes or deletion

Message & Data Rates

Standard message and data rates may apply according to your mobile carrier plan. Know Your Farmer 2 is not responsible for any messaging charges incurred.

3.  Use of Personal Information

We may use your Personal Information for the following purposes (subject to applicable legal restrictions):

c.  To create aggregate statistics relating to the use of the Service;

d.  To notify you when Site updates are available;

e.  To confirm your account is being used within the Terms of Service;

4.  Disclosure of Personal Information

We may also disclose Personal Information that we collect or you provide as permitted or allowed by law, as follows:

  1. To contractors, service providers and other third parties we use to support our business and generate income;
  2. As required by law, regulation, subpoena, court order, legal process or government request;
  3. When we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to protect your safety or the safety of others, to protect our rights, to investigate fraud; and
  4. To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of KYF’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which Personal Information maintained by the Site is among the assets transferred.
  5. Contacts imported from your phone’s contact list will NOT be published or disclosed to any party unless as required by law as set forth in 4(b) above.

From time to time we may use third party businesses for interfaces, platforms, software, storage, and other tools to provide Services on this site.

This site contains links to other sites. KYF is not responsible for the privacy policies of any site linked to this website and not wholly owned and controlled by KYF, its affiliates and subsidiaries.  We encourage users to be aware when you leave our Site to review any privacy policy of a non-KYF site.

7.  Non-personal Information Collected

We may collect non-personal information and data from your visit on our Site and use of our Services. As you use the Site or the Services, certain information may be actively and/or passively collected by Cookies, navigational data like Uniform Resource Locators (URLs) and third party tracking services, including:

a.  Site Activity Information.  We may keep track of some of the actions you take on the Site, such as the content of searches you perform on the Site.

b.  Access Device and Browser Information.  When you access the Site from a computer or other device, we may collect anonymous information from that device, such as your Internet protocol address, browser type, connection speed and access times.

The application may offer features or functionality that depend on location data; however, it is your responsibility to ensure that location services are enabled, disabled, or configured according to your preferences and situational needs.

The developer and provider of this application shall not be held liable for any consequences, damages, losses, or issues arising directly or indirectly from your failure to properly manage or monitor your location settings, including but not limited to misuse, miscommunication, or failure of features dependent on location data.

Use this application at your own discretion and ensure that your location settings comply with your personal, legal, and situational requirementse.  Do-not-track signals. We do not respond to “do-not-track” signals. Navigation to our site may be tracked.

f.  Third party tracking. We do allow users activities on the Site to be tracked by third parties.

g.  Target Advertising. Third parties collect information about your online activities through various technological tools. Third parties use the collected information to provide interest-based advertisements on other websites. We do allow your information to be collected for target advertising.

8.  Anonymized Information

We may use information about you and your use of the Site or Services that has been anonymized without restriction.

KYF does not knowingly allow individuals under the age of 18 to create accounts that allow access to our Site or use the Services. Section 230(d) as amended, KYF hereby notifies you that parental control protections (such as computer hardware, software, or filtering services) are commercially available that may assist you in limiting access to material that may be harmful to minors.

We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time in the future.  We will post any revised version of the Privacy Policy on this page and at other places we deem appropriate.  Continued use of the Site or the Services following notice of such changes will indicate your acknowledgement of such changes and agreement to be bound by the terms and conditions of such changes.  By using the Site or the Services, you are agreeing to our collection, use and disposal of Personal Information and other data as described in this Privacy Policy, both as it exists now and as it is changed from time to time.
